10 days to go!

So Illuxcon was amazing. They have already made dates for next year and I guess they're going to make it an annual thing. If you are an illustrator, or a wanna-be illustrator, I suggest you go. It is a wonderful experience to meet some of the top fantasy illustrators in the country and learn their tips techniques and skills.

For some reason the page keeps refreshing and changing my alignment. Hrm.

Anyway, go check it out - the website is illuxcon.com (simple). I am sad to hear they won't be having the free student passes next year, but ah well. I guess there were too many of us swamping their tiny town.

Also, if you haven't read Blackhearts by Nathan Long and like Warhammer fantasy lore, or just like fantasy in general, I highly reccomend it. It's my favorite book now.

I feel there has been a change in me in the past 3 months. Something is different, and I haven't figured out what yet. I have the same likes and dislikes, interests and skills so the change is subtle enough that only I am the one to notice it.
I think the first way I expressed this was the hair cut. Then the desire to purchase out-of-character clothing (dresses). I have been more proactive in my art studies and, believe it or not, I enjoy reading more than playing video games.
My first theory is when I realized I was turning 20 and would be starting the third decade of my life. Perhaps some kind of fatalistic proverbial observation crept into my mind and changed the way I think. A lot of things are different for me internally, so it's kind of odd to notice everything otherwise is the same. One would think something like this would have more of an impact on my everyday life than this. 0_o It's like maturity has thrown its gavel at me and suddenly my eyes are open.

In other news, I have been thinking of having my own website for about a year but I don't really know enough about it to go about doing it. The earliest it would be up would be next semester, but I am thinking more towards the beginning of summer next year. We'll see. But if anyone has any ideas or experiences, that would be nice too. xP

School is fine.

My scanner works! Wahoo~ And with it, a slew of old and new sketchbook scraps! Yay... O_o

And I got my computer. :3 So I am obsessively playing my white lion in warhammer. x_x Damn addicting MMOs, I thought I had kicked that habit. (lol)
